George Dapper Inc. School Bus Company is a 3rd generation family business dedicated to the safe transportation of students to and from school. In 1946, George Jacob Dapper began with just three school buses in Iselin, NJ. It was a small business that grew just as the county of Middlesex, New Jersey has grown. A year earlier, George J. had a son, and by 1969, his son George Irvin Dapper Jr. began working for his father after completing college and several years in the army as a drill sergeant. They spent many years working closely together. It is with that background, strength and dedication to the school bus business and the Dapper’s unparalleled work ethic that pushed George Dapper Inc. School Bus Company from a small family business of 22 buses in 1969, to over 350 in 2020.

Over our 50+ years, we have transported and employed generations of students, parents, friends, and family. We have a dedicated workforce that we consider family. The company has continued to grow as the areas around us have grown, and the need for safe and reliable student transportation has become a necessity in these communities. George Dapper Inc. has expanded to multiple terminals in Middlesex County, New Jersey. We continue to strive to constantly improve, innovate, and rededicate ourselves to the ever evolving school bus industry.

In the the past 20 years, George Dapper Inc. has expanded its fleet to include not only 54 passenger full size school buses, but 16 and 24 passenger yellow school vans, and a variety of wheelchair accessible vehicles.
